SHIPPING POLICY
Akoni’s Body Delights products are handmade in small batches to maintain freshness and effectiveness of the natural product. Most orders can be processed upon receipt, provided the product ordered is in stock. All CUSTOM orders are made to order and there is a 3 to 5 day processing time for these orders. We do require up to 24-72 hours from order receipt and payment for order to be shipped. If for some reason we find there will be a longer delay in shipping due to product or ingredient non-availability, we will notify you as soon as possible. If you have ordered more than one item, we will ship the available items to you immediately. Other items will be shipped as soon as they become available at no additional charge to you. Note: Orders are not shipped on Friday-Sunday or national holidays due to the nature of our oil-based creations, except by prior arrangement. Custom orders will have a longer processing time. When orders are shipped an email will be sent with tracking information.
We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Akoni’s Body Delights or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability. We ship to all U.S. territories, possessions and APOs such as Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. military installations. Flat-rate shipping of $9.95 up to 5lbs is available for all U.S.-based shipping. For orders in excess of $50, we highly recommend that you purchase insurance at checkout, as Priority Mail only insures packages up to $50.
Please Note: Due to the natural ingredients used in creating our products along with the extreme weather conditions around the U.S. Shipping will be provided by both UPS and the United States Postal Services depending upon location. I will enclose confirmation numbers for the UPS packages. The rates will be based on the weight of the packages.
SUMMER and HOT WEATHER SHIPPING
Certain products such as our whipped body butters and hair care butters are subject to melt in hot weather. We do not offer replacements or refunds for melted products. Please keep this in mind when ordering these items during summer months or if you live in a hot climate. At checkout, you will see an option for Summer Shipping. This shipping is at an additional cost and includes frozen ice packs, which may help delay softening or melting of product. Summer shipping is not available for international shipments. We do our best to pack items well, but this does not guarantee against melting. We suggest having packages delivered to locations where someone will be there to receive them. Packages left on doorsteps, porches and in mailboxes may not be able to withstand the heat, since most of our products are made to melt easily when applied to the body. Should your product melt in-transit, the quality will not be affected. Texture, however, will be different, especially if the item is a whipped product. To bring back to a solid state, place the product in the refrigerator for about five minutes. If this is a whipped product, stir before placing in the fridge.
