From Then to Now: The Evolution of Akoni’s

In 2007, I made my very first batch of body butter what is now known as Triple Butter Parfait.

Never in a thousand years would I have imagined that almost 20 years later, it would still exist—let alone grow into a business.

 

What started as something I simply loved to do…became something I couldn’t live without.

Five years ago, I made the decision to take what was once just a hobby and turn it into a fully operating business—Akonis Body Delights, LLC.

And it has been a journey ever since.

But in October 2025, everything paused.

I experienced a flood that forced me to step back and sit still in a way I hadn’t before.

And in that stillness… I had to ask myself some real questions:

• Did I want to continue?
• Did I want to expand?
• Or was it time to let it go?

And the answer was clear…

I couldn’t walk away from something that is a part of me.

This isn’t just a business.

This is my passion.

This is something that allows me to breathe.

But I also knew something else:

The way things were operating before… wasn’t aligned anymore.

I was doing too much, and it wasn’t attracting the right audience.

So I made a decision:

 To rebrand. To refocus. To rebuild—with intention.

We are currently in the first phase of that rebrand.

Over time, you will begin to see the transition from

A more refined, elevated, and intentional version of the brand.

And with that… comes expansion.

One of the biggest things I’ve heard from so many of you over the years is:

“Can I just buy the raw ingredients?”

At first, I didn’t fully understand the need.

But now I do.

Not everyone wants finished products.

Some people want to create.

Some people want control.

Some people just want access to quality ingredients.

So I’m excited to introduce something new:

A space where you can shop:

• And other essential ingredients

All in one place.

 

You’ll also notice that some products are no longer available.

That’s intentional.

Everything that remains has been:

✔ Refined

✔ Enhanced

✔ Elevated

To meet a higher standard.

Right now, we are still operating from a smaller space,

which means we are being very intentional about what we carry and how we grow.

As we move into the next phases of this rebrand,

you’ll begin to see even more expansion, clarity, and structure.
